This summer, everyone interested in jazz music will have the opportunity to listen a group of young Polish musicians.

The Kraków Jazz Quartet will host a concert on the 13th of July, 2018 at the Gallery of Polish Institute in Berlin (Burgstraße 27, 10178 Berlin). The event starts at 7pm.

The quartet’s members are graduates of the Academy of Music in Kraków (Akademia Muzyczna w Krakowie). All of them were given awards at several Polish jazz competitions (e.g. Tarnów Jazz Contest, Jazz Juniors, Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa and Blue Note Jazz Competition in Gdynia). Their music is defined by technical finesse, subtle expression and positive emotion. The repertoire contains mainly the original compositions and improvisation.

The members of the Kraków Jazz Quartet are: Marcin Konieczkowicz (alto saxophone, born in 1993), Kuba Banaszek (piano, born in 1995), Kamila Drabek (bass, born in 1995) and Kacper Kaźmierski (drums, born in 1994).
The event is free of charge.
